| | "The Council For Registered
Gas Installers",
more commonly known as CORGI, has three main roles;
| 1:
To maintain an up to date register of all
competent gas installers in the UK. By Law, all businesses involved in
gas installation/servicing must be registered with CORGI, this includes self
employed people. |
| 2:
To ensure that all CORGI registered persons
meet CORGI's high standards of ability and knowledge regarding gas
installation, regulations, standards and safety. CORGI carry out
regular inspections of their members work and knowledge. |
| 3:
To promote public awareness of
CORGI, gas
safety issues (such as the dangers of Carbon
Monoxide) and the importance of only using registered installers to do
gas work. |
